Funding of international litigation

La Française IC2 provides financing of all the costs commonly incurred in implementing and pursuing an international litigation, as well as in monetizing an award or judgment. We can step into a case at any stage of the proceedings, including at the enforcement phase.

Funding of international litigation

We provide funding of all the costs incurred by a claimant in the conduct of international arbitration proceedings, as well as funding of, and assistance with, any enforcement proceedings.

The arbitration proceedings funded by La Française IC2 are usually administered by recognised arbitral institutions, such as the International Center for the Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID), The London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA), the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA) in The Hague, the Dubai International Arbitration Court (DIAC), the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce (SCC), the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) and the Hong Kong International Arbitration Center (HKIAC). Funding of ad hoc arbitration proceedings – in particular in relation to maritime disputes subject to the terms of the London Maritime Arbitrators’ Association (LMAA) – may also be eligible to the Fund.

In addition, La Française IC2 builds on its predecessor’s (La Française IC Fund) experience by enlarging its scope of activity to commercial litigation before the English courts involving international contracts, with an emphasis on maritime disputes (for example, charterparties, shipbuilding contracts and trading contracts).
